Teaching

I currently teach Health Policy/Law at Boston University School of Public Health. I have taught at the MHA programs at Boston College and Health Science at Northeastern University. My courses have been on health law, policy, ethics, healthcare management, ethics and patient safety. 

Patient Safety

I have been trained in Clinical Process Improvement by Partners Healthcare and in healthcare leadership  as a member of the Brigham Leadership Group at Harvard Business School. I am IHI certified, and Master Certified in Team STEPPS. I just finished a one year term on the Ophthalmology Panel of the Betsy Lehman Center investigating cataract surgery safety.  

 

Consulting

I work on business development, strategy, and marketing as senior medical advisor for a variety of clients, including Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, Stryker, and HealthWorksDx. 

ADVISING

I serve on the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) Committee for Quality of Medical Practice and on the Committee for Public Health and as vice chair to the Professional Liability Committee.  I am a Board of Trustees member for the MMS and delegate to the American Medical Associations.
